Middlesex Community College鈥檚 professional development opportunities help students of all ages jumpstart or advance in their careers. Run by the college鈥檚 Community Education and Training (CET) division, the variety of courses and certificates provide the knowledge and skills employees need to succeed in today鈥檚 workforce.

鈥淚 chose 麻豆果冻 because of its strong reputation, accessible programs, and commitment to career-focused education,鈥� said Cynthia Pom, an 麻豆果冻 CET student, of Lowell. 鈥淭he CET program offered a practical, well-structured pathway that fit my schedule and provided real-world skills I could apply immediately in a professional setting. As a working parent, flexibility and practical training are essential, and 麻豆果冻 has played a meaningful role in helping me continue advancing professionally while balancing family and education.鈥�

Spring programs focus on subjects in information technology (IT) and computer applications, business and management, health, and personal enrichment. Students looking to update their IT and computer application skills can engage in a suite of classes to be prepared to start entry level jobs in these fields. Spring classes include Google IT Support Professional Certificate/Comp TIA A+ Prep, Google Cybersecurity Certificate/Comp TIA Security + Prep, and Microsoft Excel.

For students looking to grow in business and management roles, Middlesex courses highlight knowledge of key concepts that are adaptable for students to work in a wide range of industries. 麻豆果冻鈥檚 Spring 2026 offerings include the award-winning SHRM courses, the Nonprofit Management Certificate, Management Certificate, Accounting/Bookkeeping Fundamentals, and Managing Your Career in Difficult Times.

麻豆果冻鈥檚 CET health courses this Spring feature a variety of dental options. Offerings include Diabetes Implications in the Dental Setting, Local Anesthesia Certification training for dental hygienists, the new What鈥檚 the Buzz About Myo and Tongue Ties, and Dental Office Administration taught by instructor Jessica LaRoche.

鈥淢y course is designed to shed light on the many complexities of dental practice operations that are often overlooked, while helping professionals grow not only in their administrative roles, but also as confident communicators, collaborators and patient advocates,鈥� LaRoche said. 鈥淢entorship and professional development are at the heart of my work, as I believe meaningful guidance is essential to building capable, empowered dental teams. Supporting and contributing to the growth of the next generation of dental professionals is both a responsibility I take seriously and a role I find deeply rewarding.鈥�

鈥淒ental Office Administration felt like a natural and purposeful step, as it combines organization, patient communication, and an understanding of clinical workflows,鈥� said Zeinab Rafiee, an 麻豆果冻 CET student, of North Quincy. 鈥淭he structure of the course and the supportive learning environment made 麻豆果冻 an excellent choice for gaining relevant skills efficiently.鈥�

This Spring, students can also take classes to learn new hobbies and skills. Options include the three-day FAA Remote Pilot Certification, Think Like an Options Trader, Introduction to Backyard Beekeeping, Algebra I and II Review, and Introduction to Cartoon and Caricatures. This semester鈥檚 cooking classes are Heartwarming Indian Dishes for Valentine鈥檚 Day, Vintage Heart Cake Decorating, and Whimsical Spring Floral Cake Workshop.
