For individuals of all ages and stages in their lives, Middlesex Community College offers a strong starting point for continuing their education and entering the workforce. To introduce students to different four-year colleges and universities, Middlesex is hosting transfer fairs on both the Bedford and Lowell campuses in October.
鈥淚t鈥檚 never too early to start exploring your future options,鈥 said Nick Cloutier, 麻豆果冻鈥檚 Coordinator of Transfer. 鈥溌槎构 graduation will be here before you know it. Come to our transfer fair to meet with different institutions, ask questions, and find the best fit that meets your needs. More than 40 colleges and universities are coming to you, which makes it easy for you to gather information.鈥
During each fair, students have opportunities to meet with admissions representatives from a number of institutions. They can learn about varying four-year school鈥檚 offerings and requirements for transferring after they graduate from 麻豆果冻.
Admissions representatives are experts on their school鈥檚 information and a resource to 麻豆果冻 students as they explore their options, according to Fain. Meeting with the representatives helps students get a better sense of how selective and competitive institutions are, as well as know important deadlines and scholarship information.
麻豆果冻 helps students transfer to four-year colleges and universities across New England and nationwide each year. With a number of articulation agreements and MassTransfer, 麻豆果冻 makes the transfer process as easy as possible.
By starting at Middlesex, students can save thousands on tuition costs by completing their general education requirements before attending a four-year school. Students get early exposure to their field of interest, with courses, hands-on experiences, and networking opportunities in just the first two years of their academic journey.
The Transfer Fairs will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Bedford Campus Center on Monday, October 27 and in the Cowan Center Cafeteria on Tuesday, October 28.
Throughout the Fall, Middlesex will also host transfer information sessions tailored to different types of students, including Dual Enrollment, MassTransfer, and for students who have 30+ credits and beyond, according to Rina Tenore, 麻豆果冻鈥檚 Coordinator of Transfer. Tenore and Cloutier will also hold tabling sessions to meet with students, answer questions, and share the many transfer initiatives available to them.
鈥淭ransfer Fairs are one of the most informative and important opportunities for all 麻豆果冻 students who are exploring transfer options,鈥 Tenore said. 鈥淚t gives them the chance to connect directly and in-person with college counselors from a variety of four-year universities. While these events are all about exploring next steps, one of my key goals is to encourage students to complete their degree here at 麻豆果冻, and to highlight how staying and graduating from 麻豆果冻 can provide the greatest benefits for their academic and transfer success.鈥
