Middlesex Community College is thrilled to announce the first ever Compartamos Una Historia: Voces de Inmigrantes A Trav茅s de las Artes. Celebrating art and culture, the event will take place on Sunday, December 15 in Lowell.
"This event is a recognition and celebration of voices that too often go unheard 鈥 voices that carry the weight of cultural memory, identity and hope for the future,鈥 said Willy Ramirez, 麻豆果冻 professor and one of the event co-organizers. 鈥淚t highlights the power and possibilities of stories, poetry, dance, writing and the arts as vital forms of expression, resistance, preservation and belonging. We must continue reflecting on and reminding ourselves of the shared humanity that unites us."
The theme of the event will focus on the stories and voices of immigrants through the arts. Participants will have the opportunity to celebrate and learn from the experiences, identity and cultural resilience of immigrants.
A panel of community members will share their personal journeys and creative expressions through a roundtable discussion, poetry reading and panel, and a creative writing workshop.
