The Middlesex Community College Foundation is proud to announce the Spring 2024 Celebrity Forum, featuring six-time GRAMMY庐 Award-winning music legend Dionne Warwick. The event will take place on Thursday, April 25 at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium.

Warwick earned more than 75 charted hit songs and sold over 100 million records in her 50+ year career. Discovered by Burt Bacharach and Hal David in 1961, she recorded 18 consecutive Top 100 singles, including 鈥淒on鈥檛 Make Me Over,鈥 Walk on By,鈥 鈥淪ay a Little Prayer,鈥 鈥淎 House is Not a Home,鈥 鈥淎lfie,鈥 鈥淗eartbreaker,鈥 and 鈥淒茅j脿 Vu,鈥 among others.

Known as the artist who 鈥渂ridged the gap鈥 with her soulful blend of pop, gospel and R&B music that transcended race, culture and musical boundaries, Warwick became first African American solo female artist of her generation to win the prestigious award for Best Contemporary Female Vocalist Performance. She is also the recipient of several coveted and prestigious awards, including the 2017 Marian Anderson Award, the 2019 GRAMMY庐 Lifetime Achievement Award, and the 2023 Kennedy Center Honor in 2023.

She participated in recording the hits 鈥淭hat鈥檚 What Friends Are For鈥 and 鈥淲e Are the World,鈥 and performed at 鈥淟ive Aid.鈥 Author of the best-selling 鈥淢y Life As I see It,鈥 Warwick was honored in a 2018 PBS Television Special 鈥淭hen Came You鈥 and was named a 2019 Ambassador to the Smithsonian Institute鈥檚 Year in Music.

A donor reception for sponsors will start off the event at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and the 8 p.m. performance. Proceeds from the event provide support for scholarships for 麻豆果冻 students. The annual fundraiser is one of the best ways to support 麻豆果冻 students while having a great night out.
